Shelter
If you are currently experiencing homelessness or a housing crisis in Suburban Cook County and are seeking assistance with rent, security deposit, or utilities, the Entry Point Call Center conducts a brief Pre-Screen to determine if you are eligible for a referral for a full screening for Homelessness Prevention or Shelter Diversion with one of the providers in Suburban Cook County.
Diversion referrals are available for eligible households who are currently experiencing homelessness or will be within the next 48 hours. Diversion Case Managers at one of the homeless service providers in Suburban Cook County will work with you to try to find a safe place to stay and connect you with resources in the community. Coordinated Entry System
Coordinated Entry is a community-wide network of nonprofit homeless service providers that connect people experiencing homelessness and housing instability with the resources they need. Individuals and families seeking shelter or living outside in places not meant for people to live in should connect with Coordinated Entry via the Entry Point Call Center.
Call the Suburban Cook Entry Point Call Center at 877-426-6515, Monday through Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm
The Call Center does a screening for individuals who are experiencing homelessness or will experience homelessness within 48 hours and connects these households with a referral to a Diversion Partner Agency. Households who call the Call Center who will not be experiencing homelessness within 48 hours are screened for a homelessness prevention referral or provided information for 2-1-1.
